Closed Captioning Services Durham

Yes, and work from Durham is handled entirely online: files are uploaded or shared as a link, and the finished work returns by email. Clients across North Carolina order the same way and pay the same published rates as anywhere else. A single short video is a normal order here, including a trailer or a social cut.

Most of it is tied to the Durham County courts and immigration practitioners, and much of the rest comes from clinical-research organisations and pharmaceutical development teams. Whatever the source, the caption file has to get names, addresses and institutions from Durham right, so those are verified against the record and never approximated from a distance.

Files are handled under NDA, moved through encrypted transfer and seen only by the assigned team. Unreleased video is routine here, so review links are restricted and nothing is held longer than the project needs. A lot of what arrives from Durham comes from the Durham County courts and immigration practitioners, where the material is sensitive, so restricted access is the default. They can also be deleted on an agreed schedule after delivery, with written confirmation.

Whichever the platform requires: SRT, VTT, SCC, STL or burned in. Everything is returned by email in the format you asked for, which is why clients in Durham never need to collect anything. Caption files are delivered to the standard of the platform you publish on, whether that is SRT, VTT, SCC or STL. Several formats can come out of one order, so the same material reaches a streaming service, a broadcaster and a learning platform without being rebuilt.

Send the files or a link, say what you need and when, and an exact quote comes back within minutes. Once you approve it the work goes to a captioner suited to the material. Say where the captions will play - broadcast, a streaming platform, a learning system, social - because each sets its own standard. Upload from anywhere in North Carolina, because there is no office in Durham to visit, no appointment and nothing to post. Revisions are free for 30 days after delivery.

Yes. Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi and Arabic come up regularly around Durham, and each is handled by a native speaker of that language, with 100+ more available. Mixed-language material keeps every language as it was used, which matters on anything coming from the Durham County courts and immigration practitioners. A translated caption track is timed separately, because reading speed differs between languages.

No. Closed captioning moves online in both directions, so a client in Durham and a client three states away are handled identically, and this site is built around caption files built to the standard the platform or the regulator requires. Material that exists only on physical media is the one exception, and collection is arranged for it.

Captioning is quoted per minute of runtime. Being in Durham changes nothing about the rate, because the same published prices apply across North Carolina and everywhere else. Nothing starts before you approve that figure in writing, and the invoice matches it exactly.

You are given a date, not a range: rush delivery within 2 to 24 hours where it is urgent, and a firm delivery time in the quote where it is not. Timing is set by hand against the audio, so the schedule follows the real runtime of the video and not an estimate. Because orders from Durham are handled online, nothing waits on a courier, an appointment or office hours.

Work is done by human captioners and played back against the picture before it is sent, which is how the 99+% accuracy standard is met. Local detail is where a distant supplier slips - street names in Durham, the institutions around it, the bodies people file with across North Carolina - so those are checked against the source. Every file is played back on screen before release, because a caption that reads correctly can still land on the wrong shot. One person working alone would not catch a caption that lands late or a speaker change that is never marked.
