Closed Captioning Services in Huntsville, Alabama

Yes. Closed captioning is ordered here exactly as it is anywhere else - upload the material, approve the written quote, receive the finished work by email. There is no office in Huntsville to visit, no appointment to book and no premium for being in Alabama.

Mostly the Madison County courts and government contracting compliance work. There is steady work too from aerospace and missile-defence engineering firms clustered around the arsenal, and from space research programmes, biotechnology laboratories and electronics manufacturers. Closed captioning for those clients usually ends up in front of someone outside the organisation, which is why every file is checked against the source before it is sent.

Yes, in 100+ languages. Around Huntsville the usual ones are Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and Hindi, each handled by a native speaker and checked by a second one. The language changes who does the closed captioning, not what is delivered or what it costs.

No visit is needed. Files are uploaded through the site, emailed, or shared from cloud storage, and the finished closed captioning comes back the same way, which is why clients well outside Huntsville use the service on the same terms. The one exception is material that exists only on tape, disc or a memory card, and collection can be arranged for that.

Captioning is quoted per minute of runtime. The rate follows the runtime of the video, not the number of caption lines the finished file contains. Being in Huntsville changes nothing about the rate, because the same published prices apply across Alabama and everywhere else. Nothing starts before you approve that figure in writing, and the invoice matches it exactly.

The delivery date is agreed before work starts, and rush delivery within 2 to 24 hours covers anything urgent. Material sent at the end of your working day is in progress overnight. Because orders from Huntsville are handled online, nothing waits on a courier, an appointment or office hours.

The 99+% accuracy standard comes from human work plus an independent check: one captioner produces the file, and then a second reviewer plays the file back against the picture. Local detail is where a distant supplier slips - street names in Huntsville, the institutions around it, the bodies people file with across Alabama - so those are checked against the source. That second pass is what catches a caption that lands late or a speaker change that is never marked.

It is handled by restricting access, not by promising discretion. A lot of what arrives from Huntsville comes from the Madison County courts and government contracting compliance work, where the material is sensitive, so restricted access is the default. Unreleased video is routine here, so review links are restricted and nothing is held longer than the project needs. Everyone on the job is under NDA, transfer is encrypted, and your own confidentiality agreement is signed before work starts if you have one.

SRT or VTT for web and streaming, SCC or STL for broadcast, or burned in where a platform strips subtitle files. Everything is returned by email in the format you asked for, which is why clients in Huntsville never need to collect anything. The target format is confirmed before work starts, because retiming afterwards costs more than getting the specification right first.

Most of it is tied to the Madison County courts and government contracting compliance work. Alongside that comes material from aerospace and missile-defence engineering firms clustered around the arsenal. Local names, street names and institution names are checked against the source, because a local name got wrong is the first thing an audience in Huntsville notices. Reading speed, line length and line breaks are set to the target standard before the first file is timed.
