Closed Captioning Services in Memphis, Tennessee

Yes, and work from Memphis is handled entirely online: files are uploaded or shared as a link, and the finished work returns by email. Clients across Tennessee order the same way and pay the same published rates as anywhere else. A single short video is a normal order here, including a trailer or a social cut.

Mostly the Shelby County courts and the federal court sitting downtown. There is steady work too from overnight air freight operations and the customs brokers clearing cargo beside them, and from medical device manufacturers, hospital systems and music recording and publishing studios. Closed captioning for those clients usually ends up in front of someone outside the organisation, which is why every file is checked against the source before it is sent.

SRT or VTT for web and streaming, SCC or STL for broadcast, or burned in where a platform strips subtitle files. Caption files are delivered to the standard of the platform you publish on, whether that is SRT, VTT, SCC or STL. Everything is returned by email in the format you asked for, which is why clients in Memphis never need to collect anything. The target format is confirmed before work starts, because retiming afterwards costs more than getting the specification right first.

Most of it is tied to the Shelby County courts and the federal court sitting downtown. Alongside that comes material from overnight air freight operations and the customs brokers clearing cargo beside them. Local names, street names and institution names are checked against the source, because a local name got wrong is the first thing an audience in Memphis notices. Reading speed, line length and line breaks are set to the target standard before the first file is timed.

Yes, in 100+ languages. Around Memphis the usual ones are Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic and Swahili, each handled by a native speaker and checked by a second one. The language changes who does the closed captioning, not what is delivered or what it costs.

No visit is needed. Files are uploaded through the site, emailed, or shared from cloud storage, and the finished closed captioning comes back the same way, which is why clients well outside Memphis use the service on the same terms. The one exception is material that exists only on tape, disc or a memory card, and collection can be arranged for that.

Captioning is quoted per minute of runtime, with volume pricing once a project passes an agreed size. The quote for closed captioning in Memphis is worked out from the runtime, whether the audio has to be timed from scratch and the caption standard you publish to. The rate follows the runtime of the video, not the number of caption lines the finished file contains. Being in Memphis changes nothing about the rate, because the same published prices apply across Tennessee and everywhere else. Send the material and the figure comes back within minutes.

It depends on length and on how difficult the source is, and the time is in the quote before you commit. Rush delivery within 2 to 24 hours covers the urgent end. Because orders from Memphis are handled online, nothing waits on a courier, an appointment or office hours.

Work is done by human captioners and played back against the picture before it is sent, which is how the 99+% accuracy standard is met. Local detail is where a distant supplier slips - street names in Memphis, the institutions around it, the bodies people file with across Tennessee - so those are checked against the source. One person working alone would not catch a caption that lands late or a speaker change that is never marked.

Only the people doing the work can open your material, and all of them are under NDA. Unreleased video is routine here, so review links are restricted and nothing is held longer than the project needs. A lot of what arrives from Memphis comes from the Shelby County courts and the federal court sitting downtown, where the material is sensitive, so restricted access is the default. Transfer is encrypted in both directions, and deletion on an agreed schedule can be set up where your records require it.
