Closed Captioning Services in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Yes. Closed captioning is ordered here exactly as it is anywhere else - upload the material, approve the written quote, receive the finished work by email. There is no office in Fort Lauderdale to visit, no appointment to book and no premium for being in Florida.

The regular sources of closed captioning work here are the yachting and marine services trade along the waterways; the Broward County and federal courts, and a busy immigration bar; and cruise and cargo port operations, hotels and Latin American trade offices. Each has its own formatting expectations, and those are agreed at quoting stage, which is what stops a first delivery coming back for rework.

Yes. Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese and French come up regularly around Fort Lauderdale, and each is handled by a native speaker of that language, with 100+ more available. Mixed-language material keeps every language as it was used, which matters on anything coming from the Broward County and federal courts, and a busy immigration bar. A translated caption track is timed separately, because reading speed differs between languages.

No. Closed captioning moves online in both directions, so a client in Fort Lauderdale and a client three states away are handled identically, and this site is built around caption files built to the standard the platform or the regulator requires. Material that exists only on physical media is the one exception, and collection is arranged for it.

Captioning is quoted per minute of runtime. What moves the figure is the runtime, whether the audio has to be timed from scratch and the caption standard you publish to, so the quote is built from your actual files and not from a rate card. The rate follows the runtime of the video, not the number of caption lines the finished file contains. Being in Fort Lauderdale changes nothing about the rate, because the same published prices apply across Florida and everywhere else. You get an exact total in writing before anything starts.

The delivery date is agreed before work starts, and rush delivery within 2 to 24 hours covers anything urgent. Material sent at the end of your working day is in progress overnight. Because orders from Fort Lauderdale are handled online, nothing waits on a courier, an appointment or office hours. Timing is set by hand against the audio, so the schedule follows the real runtime of the video and not an estimate.

The 99+% accuracy standard applies to every file, and it holds because each caption file is produced by a person and then played back against the picture by a second reviewer. Local detail is where a distant supplier slips - street names in Fort Lauderdale, the institutions around it, the bodies people file with across Florida - so those are checked against the source. Anything genuinely unclear is flagged for you, never guessed at.

Yes. NDAs cover every person on the project, uploads and deliveries are encrypted, and nobody outside the assigned team can open your material. Unreleased video is routine here, so review links are restricted and nothing is held longer than the project needs. A lot of what arrives from Fort Lauderdale comes from the Broward County and federal courts, and a busy immigration bar, where the material is sensitive, so restricted access is the default.

SRT, VTT, SCC, STL or a burned-in version, built to the specification of the platform you publish on. One source file can produce several formats in the same order. Everything is returned by email in the format you asked for, which is why clients in Fort Lauderdale never need to collect anything. Caption files are delivered to the standard of the platform you publish on, whether that is SRT, VTT, SCC or STL.

Most of it is tied to the Broward County and federal courts, and a busy immigration bar. Alongside that comes material from the yachting and marine services trade along the waterways. Local names, street names and institution names are checked against the source, because a local name got wrong is the first thing an audience in Fort Lauderdale notices. Reading speed, line length and line breaks are set to the target standard before the first file is timed.
